MiniHydro AS was founded in June 2003 as a new supplier of Electro-mechanical equipment for small sized Hydro Power stations.


Business Idea

The business idea of MiniHydro AS is to conduct marketing, sales and delivery of equipment and services to small sized hydro power stations. The Company can offer a complete range of quality products through co-operation with approved sub suppliers and has in-house professionals competence in all aspects referred to hydro power stations.

Managing Director

Managing Director, Karl-Einar Mundal, engineer and Master of General Business.  Mundal has been working with sales, marketing, a man of wide executive/managing experience.  He was executive engineer at earlier Mjølner Industrier AS, with main business mechanical constructions for the hydro-electric developing, - including sales, tender, calculation, construction and installing.  Mundal has later been engaged as managing director for a few companies in Bergen, among them Univestgruppen AS. kemundal@minihydro.com


Board

The Chairman of the Board is Magne Nes, mechanical engineer from University of Washington, USA. After some years working in the US industry he was employed as a technical director of Sverre Munck AS. Later he became  president of the Munck Group.  Nes was working for the group for 20 years. Magne Nes was managing director for the organization “ Industrial development of Western Norway” for 8 years, where the main tasks were development and organizing of new industry. Since 1996,  Magne Nes, among other jobs, has been part time employed by Norwegian Agency for Development where the main task was developing industrial co-operation between Norway and local companies in developing countries. magne.nes@minihydro.com

 

Member of the Board, Robert Storbekk, has Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University in Trondheim, Norway, and Bachelor in Economics from NHHK in Bergen, Norway. Storbekk has his own company within the power industry sector since 1993, and is managing director in EnergiUnion AS. Storbekk has been employed as a department manager in BKK Nett AS and project engineer in ABB Kraft AS. Storbekk is member of the board in several companies. robert.storbekk@minihydro.com
